Position Details:
  • This position will be In-Office at our client's facility in Redmond, WA
  • Salary Range: $94,000 - $140,000
Primary Function:

The Electronics Engineer is responsible for designing and evaluating electronic systems as well as producing and reviewing design documentation.

Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain test fixtures, test rigs, and automated test equipment for validating electronic products.

  • Perform debugging activities to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in prototypes and production hardware.

  • Conduct failure analysis (FA) on electronic systems to determine root cause and recommend corrective actions.

  • Support development of electronic circuits, schematics, and PCB layouts.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate test systems and ensure design-for-testability (DFT) considerations.

  • Develop and document test plans, test procedures, and results to ensure compliance with requirements and quality standards.

  • Provide technical support for prototype builds, validation, and product launches.

  • Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.

Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Expert proficiency in professional Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools: Altium Designer strongly preferred.
  • Experience in test development, including hardware test rigs and automated test equipment.

  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills with analog and digital circuits.

  • Familiarity with failure analysis methods and tools for root cause identification.

  • Knowledge of test automation software or scripting (LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, or similar).

  • Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic equipment.

  • Strong written and verbal English language communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group
  • Demonstrate commitment and adherence to Sigma Design Core Values
  • Pass a post-offer background verification

Work Environment:
Standard office environment with normal amounts of office related conditions. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation.  Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients, or suppliers.
