SIGMADESIGN has collaborated with a global company that specializes in glass container products seeking an experienced Maintenance Journeyman Millwright to join their facility in Portland, Oregon. This is a condensed work week with 12-hour shifts, rotating between 3 and 4 days a week.

Hourly Pay Rate: $40.44

Schedule: 12 hour shifts (straight days: 7am - 7pm)

What is offered

  • PTO/Sick Leave days: Under 2 years, 40 hours; 2-7 years, 80 hours; 8-14 years, 120 hours.
  • $40.44 per hour

Primary Function:

The Maintenance Journeyman - Millwright is responsible for maintaining the operation of equipment and machines in the cold end area, including from the end of the Lehr machine to the palletizers.

The Maintenance Journeyman - Millwright will: 

  • Tear down, setup, and maintain FP machines as needed
  • Adjust lines to maintain the flow of the product
  • Maintain cullet lines and conveyors
  • Make all adjustments to the lines during job changes
  • Maintain and adjust the bulk palletizers
  • Maintain and adjust bottle treatment on the Lehr

The Maintenance Journeyman - Millwright should have:

  • Knowledge of gear boxes motors, VFDs, job change processes, and FP
  • Strong communication skills and work ethic
  • Ability to work 12 hour shifts 

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Journeyman Card or 5 years of relevant experience, required 
  • Previous experience using SAP to create and complete work orders

Work Environment:

Standard machine shop environment with various types of machinery. Appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn. Must be able to stand and work as long as 12 hours in different positions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
