Position Details:
This position will be In-Office
Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
$27.00 - $47.00 an hour/DOE
Primary Function: Programs, sets up, and operates CNC milling, lathe, or other machinery according to blueprint specifications, handling moderately complex parts independently.
Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
Utilizes G or M code and CAM software proficiently for 2D/3D toolpaths
Analyzes engineering drawings, blueprints, models, and design data to develop CNC programs, setup sheets, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates
Applies GD&T from complex blueprints accurately
Tests accuracy of settings and programs independently
Configures tools and ensures efficient production for moderately complex parts
Reviews designs for manufacturability and suggests improvements
Inspects parts using precision measuring tools within tight tolerances
Operates machines independently and monitors operation, making adjustments as needed
Mentors entry-level programmers and machinists
Collaborates across teams to ensure successful project outcomes
Assists with process documentation
Follows all safe work practices & safety rules
Communicates recommendations to modify processes to improve productivity and quality
Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.
Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
Works independently on day-to-day programming tasks
Solid understanding of CNC programming properties and methods
Proficient in Mastercam and/or Hypermill
Strong understanding of GD&T symbols and their application
Strong written and verbal English language communication skills
Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and proven ability to mentor others
Pass a post-offer background verification

Work Environment: Standard machine shop environment with various types of machinery. Appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn. Must be able to stand and work as long as 12 hours in different positions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
